Naftalan

Naftalan Resort, located next to Ganja, is perhaps the most unusual among mineral resorts not only in the post-soviet countries, but in the whole world. Its main therapeutic factor is naphthalan, a special type of oil, which the courageous patients take bath with.  The spring of black gold is the key to healing, is the slogan of Naftalan Health Resort. Modern use for  liquid gold  was found in the 1870s. and the idea to attract tourists to the city came to the authorities at the beginning of the 21st century. Today, Naftalan has a sufficient number of hotels built in the 2010s. and the resort’s  profile still is arthritis, rheumatism and skin diseases. Naftalan treatment is an effective therapy for more than 70 diseases, including musculoskeletal and nervous systems, skin, blood vessels, gynecological and urological disorders. Due to its unique properties, naphthalan contributes to the treatment of inflammatory processes, reduction of pain, improvement of blood circulation and metabolic processes. Therapeutic oil is used mainly in the form of baths and coatings. The total duration of treatment is up to 20 days. During this time, patients are taken under the supervision of specialists in 10-15 baths with mandatory breaks.
