Day of national solidarity of Azerbaijanis on December 31

December 31 is annually celebrated the Day of National Solidarity of Azerbaijanis. Tens of millions of Azerbaijanis live in the world: in Iran (South Azerbaijan), Turkey, Germany, France, Great Britain, the USA, in the countries of the Middle East. The largest Azerbaijani diaspora is in Russia - 1.5-2 million people.

With the formation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the social status of the diaspora has changed, it has intensified its diverse activities for the benefit of the Azerbaijani people. In 1993, by presidential decree, December 31 was declared the Day of National Solidarity of Azerbaijanis.
