Carpet weaving on the land of Azerbaijan originated in ancient times. This is the oldest form of applied art edge. Carpet - a symbol of comfort and security at home. In 2010, the “Traditional Art of Weaving Azerbaijani Carpets” was added to the UNESCO UNESCO Representative List on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This year, the museum celebrates its anniversary - 50 years from the date of creation.
