Qutab Festival in Sumgait
Baku is a city where not a single person will refuse hot, crispy, buttered with cold butter and served with cold yogurt and ismaili sumah, qutab!
Qutab is a traditional dish of the Shirvan zone. It is prepared on dry saj with various fillings: meat, green and even pumpkin. Considerable popularity, as well as love, among the Bakuvians and guests of our city in the last couple of years was also found by the Jorat Qutabs. Jorat qutab differs from ordinary qutabs in size (it is two times smaller), thick (thicker) and its most distinctive feature is bloating, so to speak, bulk.
Qutab Festival is held on April 1-3 in the city of Sumgait.
Qutabs and various methods of their preparation will be presented at the event, from many regions of Azerbaijan.
