Bicycle Tournament Tour d'Azerbaidjan
For the first time, the race was held as an “international cycling tour in memory of the 3rd President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev". Also on the first day, an individual women's race took place at a distance of 25 km. The race has a duration of 5 stages, including both sprint and mountain. Be sure to start and finish in Baku. Competitors will cover a distance of 836 kilometers along the route: at the first stage - Baku-Sumgayit (150 kilometers), at the second - Baku-Ismailly (187 kilometers), at the third - Gabala-Baku-Gabala (177 kilometers), at the fourth - Gabala -Agsu-Pirgulu (164 kilometers) and at the last stage - Baku-Absheron-Baku (158 kilometers).
The Tour d'Azerbaidjan is organized by the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan. The bike tour is held under the auspices of the Continental Tour of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
